The app supports almost all format video files without the need for additional decoder. Full-screen,edit subtitles,create playlists,watch online videos ect, in all the features, I feel the most unique is that Open URL,it allows me to easily watch online videos and no ads.

Apple fails to provide playback support (or a clue) for AVI format files generated by my FPV RunCam (SD storage) on my Macbook Air running El Capitan. Fortunately, this slick little app does play these with aplomb! Recommended for those of you who want to easily and quickly see AVI’s on a MAC. Slick interface too! Me Likey..

Plays 2gb files smoothly when VLC and Quicktime stutter.

I was looking for an AVI player so I didn’t have to convert AVI to a format that my Macintosh can read. I tried 2 other players and they were pitiful, but the Elmedia Player worked like a charm. Not a single complaint so far. Great job on writing some really good software.

I just wanted to play .wmv files on my Mac. I found version 5 of this app first and then realized this was a new version with a new name. Like version 5, it does what I want - plays .wmv files perfectly. Zoom is available and video and audio are high quality (subject to the quality of the file being played, of course). Nice job, Eltima!

For version 6, if I select “skip frame”, does that mean I will not get frame tearing for video playback, but intead I will get stutter if GPU is not fast enough? Is there a way to view average frame rate achieved, the number of frame dropped when playing videos? Also, it would be nice to add a feature that can open a new window to play a second video. Overall, this app is very stable and performs very well especially for high bit rate and high frame rate videos. 5 stars.

DO NOT BUY THE PRO IN-APP PURCHASE. Like another reviewer posted, the capacity to DL videos from youtube or to extract audio don’t exist in the Mac App Store version. Even, though when it prompts you to do so, it says it can. THIS COMPANY IS SUPER SHADY AND I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THEM AGAIN.
